Playing Russian Roulette With Tasers Is a Thing Now

In post-Soviet Russia, you tase you.

In English, a perm is a chemically induced curly hairstyle. In Russian, Perm is a game in which shirtless participants hold gun-like tasers to themselves or competitors and pull the trigger. There’s a one in seven chance that the taser will dispense a dart containing 50,000 volts of electricity.

The game was named after the town it originated in — a town that’s apparently so bleak that they tase each other for fun. Winners receive glory, power, and a payout that’s approximately $4.

The extreme sport also involves a move called the “Love Triangle,” in which three players go at each other, each one holding a stun gun in hand. We’ll let you calculate the odds.
