Radio On The TV: Week Of November 2, 2009
Weezer brought Snuggies to Letterman. Plus, all the listing for muzak on the boob tube this week.
Last week, Weezer stopped by Letterman on Thursday AND Friday to perform two from their new Raditude. Changes ahoy: Rivers has dropped the guitar in favor of being a hands free frontman, drummer Patrick Wilson is now second guitarist Patrick Wilson, and superstar session drummer Josh Freese is pitching in on traps. And those are some kickin’, near emo-dixieland horns courtesy of the CBS Orchestra. Isn’t the world a better place when Weezer is on (‘on’ meaning vibes, good songs, etc)? And yes, on the eve of Halloween (isn’t Halloween itself an eve?) they dressed up. In their Weezer snuggies.

This week, it’s all about Conan: tonight he’s got the suddenly huge Tegan & Sara, tomorrow he’s got the suddenly returned Creed, and Friday he’s got the not-suddenly awesome Pixies, who are celebrating the twentieth anniversary of their Doolittle album.
