Though the movie isn’t slated to hit theaters until next year, Pattinson is seen screen testing his Batsuit in a video posted to Reeves’ Twitter and Vimeo accounts. The costume features a dark cowl, an armored chestplate embossed with an earless Batman logo, and a cape that appears to be bound at the neck.

The logo in particular caught the attention of fans on Twitter, who pointed out that it’s made out of two pistol grips in a possible reference to the character’s DC Comics origins, which dictate that Batman built his crime-fighting disguise partially out of the gun used to kill his parents.

The dimly-lit clip also features an ominous soundtrack scored by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino. Two eerie notes are repeated over and over, telegraphing the darkness of the upcoming flick.

Pattinson is joined by co-stars Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin, John Turturro as mob boss Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Peter Sarsgaard as District Attorney Gil Colson, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Jayme Lawson as Gotham City mayoral candidate Bella Reál, CNET reports.

We’ll learn more as trailers and more art drop in the buildup to The Batman‘s June 25, 2021 release date.
