As Tim Newcomb discussed in May, the 49ers’ new Levi’s Stadium—which opens in Santa Clara next season, and is slated to host Super Bowl L in 2016—will feature an impressive technological infrastructure that enables high-speed mobile connectivity. The jargon-free upshot is that the 68,000+ fans in attendance will be (theoretically) rescued from the horror of sluggish mobile service, freeing them to better ignore the game while following their fantasy teams and streaming RedZone on their phones.
