Until recently, Eleonora Verbitskaya was a bureaucrat at the Administrative Infringements Enforcement Office in St. Petersburg, Russia by day and a DJ known as “DJ Ellis Sexton” by night. That is, until she arrived at her government job (not the DJing one) and found a note telling her that she was fired.
The Daily Mail is reporting that her bosses “found provocative pictures of her on the Internet taken to promote her DJ career” and deemed those shots grounds for dismissal. Her lawyer, Maxim Youshin, added that she was fired for being “too sexy.”

I’m frankly appalled — no, I’m outraged. As a Model/DJ with a journalism day job that helps me pay the bills until I can pursue my real passion of modeling and DJing full time, I’m terrified that I could be subjected to the same injustice one day. I nearly choked on my morning sugar free Red Bull vodka when I first heard the story. Why should what Verbitskaya does in her spare time affect her standing at her day job, where she’s reportedly been nothing but professional and competent? I don’t want to live in a world where being incredibly hot and incredibly good at DJing is held against me.

To her bosses I say: let he who has never dropped the bass while looking really sexy throw the first stone.
And as for Verbitskaya, I wish her many successful years of modeling and DJing.
