The Latest ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Trailer Is Packed With New Footage
Wait, Chewbacca is HOW old?
Who’s scruffy lookin’? Not this trailer.
Released on Sunday during American Idol, the latest—and most likely, final—trailer for the Ron Howard-directed Solo: A Star Wars Story should have fanboys grabbing their blasters in anticipation of its May 25th release.
And if that’s not enough, Lucuasfilm also dropped this sweet retro-inspired poster, in which Han strikes a very familiar pose.
The trailer does a great job of raising as many questions about the Star Wars universe’s lovable rogue as it answers. What drove Han to get into the smuggling business? How did Woody Harrelson‘s Tobias Beckett become his mentor? Was Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) always so dang smooth?
Here’s a more detailed plot breakdown courtesy of Lucasfilm:
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
Expect to find us glued to our seats come May 25th. After all, who doesn’t want to learn the origin story of one of the greatest anti-heroes of our generation?
