Here’s What Super Bowl 50 Looks Like From Space
Wow.
Scott Kelly’s Super Bowl 50 party is probably better than yours. OK, so there’s no nachos and beer flowing freely where Kelly’s watching, but he’s got one perk you don’t: He’s watching from outer space.
The American astronaut is currently on a year-long mission to the International Space Station, but that wasn’t going to keep him from enjoying the showdown between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers like the rest of his countrymen below.
On Sunday, Kelly tweeted shots of the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, to give us a sense of what the most anticipated sporting event of the year looks like from miles above the planet’s surface. We have to admit, they’re pretty stunning photos. Take a look:

Hosted #SuperBowl party on @space_station, but no one showed up. I would have served nachos! #YearInSpace pic.twitter.com/Vpqxp1wDuf

Got to see the #SuperBowl in person after all! But at 17,500MPH, it didn't last long. #YearInSpace pic.twitter.com/O0DygOdX8i
