‘The Andy Warhol Diaries’: Watch Official Trailer For Ryan Murphy’s Netflix Docuseries
The legendary pop artist forever changed, art, music, fashion and culture.
Pop art pioneer Andy Warhol is finally getting the Netflix documentary treatment.
Warhol, one of the most influential and famous artists of all time, is the subject of a six-part docuseries executive produced by Ryan Murphy, the powerhouse producer behind American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Nip/Tuck and Glee.
The Netflix series, directed by documentary filmmaker Andrew Rossi, chronicles Warhol’s life from the legendary artist’s own posthumously published diaries. Watch the first official trailer above, and check out Netflix’s official description here:
Beginning with his childhood in Pittsburgh, the series traces Warhol’s almost unbelievably diverse journey fluidly moving between mediums and through eras as an artist —both revered and reviled — director, publisher, TV producer, scene maker, celebrity and much more.
While he was a larger than life figure, Warhol was intensely private regarding his personal life. This series truly reveals much about the very complex man through his own words — often in his own voice through the use of cutting-edge AI techniques— and those who worked, created, and played alongside him from the subversive to the mainstream, from John Waters to Rob Lowe.
The Andy Warhol Diaries’ six, one-hour episodes debut March 9, 2022.
