Watch the Always-Badass Tom Hardy in the Intense First Trailer for ‘Taboo’
It’s a family affair.
Two silver screen powerhouses and teaming up to bring the period drama Taboo to your TV screen: Ridley Scott is directing Tom Hardy in a miniseries based on an idea the actor cooked up with his dad.
Hardy plays James Keziah Delaney, a British shipping heir believed dead who returns to England from Africa to stake his claim on his father’s empire. The official synopsis from FX continues: “But his father’s legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Encircled by conspiracy, murder, and betrayal, a dark family mystery unfolds in a combustible tale of love and treachery.”
We don’t have an official premiere date for the eight episode “event” yet, but it’s expected to show up sometime in 2017. For now, you can watch the trailer here:
