The Top Ten Beauties of the Brat Pack

“That’s why they call them crushes. If they were easy, they’d call ’em something else.”

The eighties gave us many things—Cabbage Patch Kids, Moonboots, Reaganomics. But if we could save one thing for eternity, it would be the artful teen movie. Hits like The Breakfast Cluband Ferris Bueller’s Day Offare held up today as the best of the genre and their director, John Hughes, is recognized as the coming-of-age auteur. The recurring stars of those movies were a group of hard-partying young actors, eventually dubbed The Brat Pack.

Despite that reputation, on screen, women like Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, and Demi Moore played smart, recognizably human girls with problems any young person could understand. Leggy swimsuit models like Christie Brinkley were meant to live on posters; the beauties of the Brat Pack were the girls next door that lived in a boy’s heart. We rounded up ten cute, crushable stars from the period, and as you’re clicking through, there’s only one song we recommend as a soundtrack.
