Freddie Mercury’s Isolated Vocals From ‘We Are the Champions’ Is the Only New Year’s Anthem You Need

Listen and bask in the glory of the Queen frontman.

Sometimes, you hear something that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck — and one of those things is the angelic voice of Freddie Mercury, the late Queen frontman and rock god. From the epic rock anthem of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ to the ebullient crescendo alongside David Bowie in ‘Under Pressure,’ there are few voices that cut to the core and shake you to your soul more than Mercury’s legendary register.

Playback.fm agrees, and to close out 2015 the website edited four Queen concert films (including a rare recording session) of ‘We Are The Champions’ and isolated Mercury’s vocals into one incredible video.

“This video showcases his presence and consistency as the ultimate stage man,” Playback.Fm writes. We couldn’t agree more.
