What We’re Watching Today: The NBA Playoffs

Plus a new “Fantastic Four” trailer and a superior doomsday video from John Oliver.

Your day will be inundated with 4/20 jokes, but here’s what’s happening elsewhere in the universe:

What We’re Watching Right Now

The Marvel trailers never stop. (Not that we’re complaining.) Last night’s surprise was another official trailer for “Fantastic Four.” And we get one very nefarious look at Doctor Doom.

What We’re Watching Later When We’re Bored

Earlier this year, the CNN doomsday video was unearthed and it’s one depressing cultural relic. John Oliver made a happier version of what to play when humanity is about to cease to exist, and it’s a delight. Then again, so are most things starring Martin Sheen.

What We’re Watching Tonight

Anthony Davis and the Pelicans looked outclassed in the first half of their first round game against the juggernaut that are the Warriors, but something clicked during half-time. All of a sudden, the Pelicans were playing better than the vaunted Warriors, and we got a glimpse of the world to come — the basketball world of Anthony Davis. Expect a keyed-up Pelicans to pull off an upset in game two. Or at least make what by all rights should be an insanely fun blowout (10:30 EST, TNT).
