Yes, Ronda Rousey Is Still Going to The Marine Ball With This Young Lance Corporal
She may have lost her undefeated record, but she’s keeping her commitment.
Ronda Rousey may still be recovering from her knockout by leg kick at UFC 193, but the former champ is feeling well enough to attend the Marine Corps Birthday Ball with young Marine Jarrod Haschert tonight.
“She is going. She wants to honor the commitment she made,” a Rousey spokesperson told Maxim.
Let’s hope she’s gotten that news to Haschert, whose mother told a New Jersey radio station on Thursday that her son hadn’t heard from Rousey. “He said, ‘All I know is I’m going in the hopes she’ll be there,'” Haschert’s mom said on New Jersey 101.5.
The party is tonight and Rousey hasn’t been seen in public much since her loss to Holly Holm. The Marine Ball may be a celebration of the corps, but it’s little mystery who the main attraction is going to be.
Rousey agreed to be Haschert’s date back in early September when he posted a Facebook video asking her to accompany him. The video went viral and Rousey accepted the invite because, as she told TMZ while standing in a Whole Foods parking lot, “He’s cute.”
