You’ll Soon Be Able To Play Over 100 Xbox 360 Classics On Your Xbox One
Thought you were done with Gears of War and Borderlands? Think again.
With games like Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, and Just Cause 3 on the horizon, it’s going to be hard to stick to just one title, let alone games you enjoyed years ago on your Xbox 360. Microsoft is looking to make that an even harder decision for you. The company just announced the first 104 games that will be backward compatible with your Xbox One.
This means that lucky gamers can go back in time and enjoy titles like Assassin’s Creed II, Fallout 3, Gears of War, Mirror’s Edge and Mass Effect (find the complete list of title here via Major Nelson’s official blog.) While some of these games have already been given the HD remake treatment, it’s will be interesting to see how they feel on the Xbox One.
These titles will be playable beginning on November 12 with the launch of the New Xbox One Experience. Hopefully it’ll end up being as significant as the Xbox 360’s New Xbox Experience, which revamped the system’s dashboard from the ground up and improved loading time and aesthetics in a major way.
