Legendary Texas rock trio ZZ top are the subject of a new documentary timed to the band’s 50th anniversary.

ZZ Top: That Little Ol’ Band From Texas tells the story of how three oddball teenage bluesmen–Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard–became one of the biggest (and most impressively bearded) bands on the planet in their MTV-fueled 1980s prime, and continue to maintain a mystique that has garnered them legions of loyal fans.

The new documentary features candid band interviews, never-before-seen archive photos, animation, celebrity fan testimonials (actor Billy Bob Thornton, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme), and an intimate performance at the legendary Gruene Hall in Texas, shot exclusively for the movie.
