Here’s An Exclusive First Look at a New Boozy Barbershop in Las Vegas
Barbershop by day, cocktail lounge by night.
The latest speakeasy-style Las Vegas bar concept, The Barbershop Cuts and Cocktails, aims to stand out among its throwback peers by offering killer drinks and premium men’s haircuts in one place.
Here, the exclusive first look at the space ahead of its March 15 opening inside the Cosmopolitan hotel and casino.
Barbershop Cuts serves up classic cuts, beard trims and straight razor shaves in a refined, retro setting.
And, like the wave of other boozy barbershops that have cropped up across the country, customers can enjoy a stiff cocktail while they’re getting groomed for a big night out.
From 5 p.m. to close Tuesdays through Saturdays, the barbershop/bar will feature live entertainment and an extensive cocktail program, featuring a modern take on vintage classics.
Guests can get their haircut and then proceed to the back of the shop where, behind the unassuming janitor’s door, a swanky Prohibition-era bar awaits.
The grand, handcrafted wooden bar originated from 1800s Kentucky. There’s also multiple crystal chandeliers hanging overhead, and chic couches and chairs to fill the hidden room to drive the speakeasy style home.
Check out the cuts menu above. The drinks menu, we’re told, consists of several quality cocktails and a wide array of spirits.
“We have a relatively small cocktail selection, but we wanted to focus on our spirit selection, so the menu includes more scotch, whiskey and bourbons,” says Ryan Labbe, who is overseeing the project along with his Clique Hospitality partners Andy Masi and Jason Craig. “The whiskey selection is vast, about four pages long just on whiskey from all around the world.”
While guests imbibe on their spirit of choice, a now-you-see-it-now-you-don’t performance stage sits on the far end of the room where live bands, DJs, and karaoke will provide suitably Vegas-style entertainment.
The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails officially opens Friday, March 15.
