Hennessy is celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of founder Richard Hennessy with a limited-edition Richard Hennessy Magnum, one of the cognac brand’s most rarefied blends yet.

The Magnum edition is crafted and bottled at Hennessy’s Atelier des Éditions Rares in Cognac, France and comes in a striking decanter dreamed up by iconic designer (and past Hennessy collaborator) Daniel Libeskind.

Crafted in Baccarat crystal, the decanter is suspended as if levitated in a graphic metal frame and features a portrait of Richard Hennessy reflected through the crystal etched by French calligrapher Nicolas Ouchenir.

The bottle is accompanied by two Richard Hennessy glasses in cut crystal, a pipette and holder to enhance the tasting of the cognac, which Hennessy describes as including “flowery notes, soft spices, nutmeg, notes of leather and hints of fennel.”

The limited-edition bottle is priced at $22,000, and only 110 pieces will be available through private sales and at Houses of Hennessy worldwide.
