Whiskey wizard Jim Murray has named 1792 Full Proof Bourbon as the world’s absolute best whiskey

For 17 years running, the esteemed whiskey aficionado has released Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible, a book that’s considered by many sippers to be gospel.

Inside Hook notes that Murray dutifully sampled over 4,700 whiskies from over 30 countries before announcing the front-runners featured in the book’s 2020 edition, and America cleaned up with his top three picks.

The winner, Full Proof, weighs in at a whopping 125-proof, 62.5 percent alcohol by volume, making it one of the strongest whiskies on the market. His favorites are listed below, but expect significant mark-ups and short supplies when tracking any of them down.
