Wine Of The Week: Château Sainte-Marguerite Fantastique

This stylish bottle is filled with a nuanced (but still very chuggable) summer rosé.

Tis the season for breezy summer rosés, and Chateau Sainte-Marguerite offers all the poolside easiness of your favorite blush-hued wine, but with added depth and complexity to make each sip a little bit more contemplative.

Firstly, there’s the design: sculptural and wrapped in snaking illustrations of flowers — many that will shine through on the nose and palate. There’s also the palate: the wine is made with a red-white blend of Rolle (Vermentino), Grenache, and Cinsault, giving the depth and tannin structure of a red wine but the lightness and acidity of a white. Expect a rosy, salmon-colored hue and notes of pomelo, guava, and green strawberry. $50
