Yuengling and Hershey’s Team Up For Chocolate Porter Beer
The first-ever beer from Hershey’s comes via America’s oldest brewery.
Yuengling and Hershey’s have collaborated on a decadent new drink that merges two delicious indulgences: chocolate and beer.
The two iconic Pennsylvania brands are rolling out Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter to bars and restaurants across America, where it will be available on draft only from mid-October through Valentine’s Day.
Weighing in at 4.7 percent ABV, the full-bodied brew blends the classic American chocolate with the dark and caramel roasted malts used in a recipe that the country’s oldest brewery first penned over 200 years ago. Expect a rich flavor profile and chocolaty finish from Hershey’s first-ever beer.
In an accompany video, sixth-generation brewer Sheryl Yuengling rattles off a number of suggested food pairings, including “braised beef short ribs, slow-cooked chili, smoked brisket and salty cheese,” and sweets like “ice cream, cheese cake and chocolate cake.”

“Bringing together over 300 years of craft and experience is quite rare in 2019; however, that’s exactly what we did bringing together the Yuengling brewing masters with the chocolate making expertise of Hershey,” added The Hershey Company executive Ernie Savo.
