Porsches are known for their crisp design and superlative driving; the company’s lifestyle offshoot, Porsche Design, makes a variety of high-quality clothing, electronics and furniture from leather, glass, and aluminum. Everything is very clean, and very modernist. But there’s is, hidden away, a slightly subversive streak to this brand: the Shisha 2.0, the hookah Van der Rohe would have designed had he concerned himself with combustibles. A shiny aluminum shaft ends in a hand blown glass base, and ceramic heating elements should last the life of the object, but at the end of the day, you’re still just smoking weed paste.
