6 Things We Learned at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show

The takeaway? It’s a good time to be on two wheels.

Last Friday, the Progressive International Motorcycle Show came to New York, filling the cavernous Javits Center with bikes of all stripes, types, and national origins. BMW, Yamaha, Suzuki, et al, put their big guns on display, while other builders unveiled more niche products, like Harley-Davidson’s grand Road Glide Ultra and the scrappy little Honda CRF-450X trailbike.

Besides the obvious allure of seeing thirty spotless Harleys parked beside thirty spotless KTM racing-bikes, the show had a series of surprises that offer a look at the future of riding on two wheels. For the right guy, this show was paradise. Here are our six takeaways.
