Today’s most elite high-definition televisions impress by way of their monstrous size and ability to seamlessly blend into a room. But this butterfly-inspired TV is turning heads for a different reason.

The Bang & Olufsen Beovision Harmony made its debut at Milan Design Week. When not in use, a pair of crafted oak and aluminum blinds that house hand-tuned technical instruments partially hide the 77-inch screen.

Turn it on, and the 4K OLED display elevates to optimal viewing height as the fans unfold like the wings of a butterfly. Watch the magic happen in the video above.

In addition to that unique power-up process, the Beovision Harmony is also packed with technology, including built-in support for Netflix, Amazon and YouTube. Owners can also stream directly from their smartphone via Apple Airplay 2, Chromecast or Bluetooth.

An already powerful speaker system can be further enhanced by connecting to up to eight Beolab speakers via a surround-sound decoder. All functions can be controlled with a high-end Beoremote One that’s crafted from a single piece of aluminum.

The Beovision Harmony will retail for $21,000 when it arrives at Band & Olufsen retailers this fall.
