Lego Built a Full-Size, Drivable Bugatti Out of Over 1 Million Pieces

If you thought Lego’s 3,599-piece, 1:8 scale Bugatti Chiron was impressive, then prepare to be totally amazed. 

The toy building block company wanted to prove just how advanced models built using parts from their Technic line can be, so they built a full-size Chiron that can actually be driven. 

A team of 16 design, mechanical and electrical experts spent over 13,000 man hours using over one million pieces to construct the incredible the hypercar replica.

The engine alone contains a mind-boggling 2,304 Technic power functions motors, 2,016 Technic cross axles and 4,032 Technic gear wheels. All of those tiny parts produce… drum roll, please… 5.3 horsepower, giving the 3,300 pound vehicle a speed of about 12 mph.
