Marshall Unveils Compact Smart Speaker With Amazon Alexa and Airplay 2
Combining the legendary sound of Marshall with the helpfulness of Amazon Alexa.
Following Marshall’s release of three Bluetooth 5.0-enabled speakers, the iconic guitar amp manufacturer is using its sonic expertise to create a compact new smart speaker that comes equipped with digital assistants.
Measuring 5.04 x 6.61 x 4.84 inches and weighing in at just over three pounds, the Uxbridge Voice uses a far-field microphone with voice recognition and noise cancellation to sync up with Amazon Alexa via Bluetooth, Airplay 2 and Spotify Connect.
Owners can control music, get weather reports or order any item available on Amazon’s marketplace by issuing simple vocal commands.
The Uxbridge Voice is arguably also one of the coolest looking smart speakers available, with classic amplifier-inspired details including salt-and-pepper mesh, guitar fret-inspired brass buttons, a sturdy black frame and the instantly recognizable “Marshall” logo.
Priced at $199, the Marshall Uxbride Voice with Amazon Alexa hits Marshall Headphones’ website on April 8. Support for Google Assistant arrives on June 11.
