New York’s Resorts World Catskills is a new-ish gambling mecca located just a few hours north of New York City in the heart of the mountainous Catskills region, where Borscht Belt comics once ruled the entertainment landscape.

Nowadays, the 18-story hotel and casino lures gamblers courtesy of 100,000-square feet of gaming, 150 table games, 2,100 slot machines, a poker room and assorted private gaming salons.

But for those who want to take a break from the casino floor’s sensory overload and have already gorged at Cellaio, chef Scott Conant’s “Italian-inspired” steakhouse, the property is launching a virtual golfing suite where you can throw a private party while (literally) swinging with your crew.

The Topgolf Swing Suite is a 350-square foot fun zone with full bar service and catering, multiple HDTVs, and two bays that accommodate up to eight players to play interactive virtual golf and other games.

Think of it as your own personal, booze-fueled virtual golf gathering, only inside a Catskills casino, and you get the idea. The Swing Suite notably features “Full Swing Golfsimulators”, which the company says are the same ones used by Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and other PGA pros for off-course practice.

Officially opening on December 28, the Topgolf Swing Suite is located within The Alder, the resort’s new 101-room lifestyle hotel debuting at the same time. Later in 2019, RW Catskills plans to roll out an actual Rees Jones-designed golf course, so better start practicing your swing now.
