Polaroid and Eames Office are throwing it back to the days of old-school instant cameras with the Polaroid Now Generation 2 Instant Camera in “Elephant Hide Gray”—a hue that’s inspired by a signature Eames colorway.
This release honors the rich design history of both brands that were cemented in the 1970s, when Polaroid became an instant camera juggernaut that democratized photography and married designers Charles and Ray Eames transformed home and office furniture, especially with their iconic desk and lounge chairs.

The Polaroid Now Generation 2 Instant Camera also features a bold wrist strap inspired by the iconic Eames Toy’s geometric pattern. With self-timer and double exposure modes, a two-lens autofocusing system, and 40 percent recycled materials, it’s an interesting piece of design history with some modern upgrades. The camera is rechargeable via USB-C and compatible with Polaroid i-Type & 600 Film.

The “Elephant Hide Gray” color is described by the Polaroid as “an homage to the timeless Eames aesthetic, symbolizing elegance and sophistication. This color serves as a bridge between past and present, seamlessly blending heritage with innovation.”
It’s just the latest retro-inspired release from Polaroid, which dropped a camera in collaboration with the estate of 1980s art superstar Jean-Michel Basquiat earlier this year. The new Polaroid x Eames Office camera collaboration is available now at Polaroid.com and select retailers worldwide.
