ShotTracker Takes Playing H-O-R-S-E To the Next Level

Find out just how good that jumper really is.

If you can toss yourself a Gerald Green-esque off-the-backboard-alley-oop, then your on-court game doesn’t need any assistance. For everyone else, there’s the Shot Tracker. The system consists of two motion sensors, one attached to the net and the other to a player’s wrist. The wrist sensor detects when you take a shot (it can tell the difference between that and dribbling or scratching your head), and communicates with the net sensor through a smartphone app to tally swishes and bricks. The systems cloud crunches data and allows you to compare (or compete) with friends. You can also download training regimen and workouts. Generation 2, due out next year, will be able to record your location on the court. [$150; shottracker.com]
