A Bizarre Mid-Flight Death Has the Internet Freaking Out About a Zombie Apocalypse
There was biting involved.
It’s a tragic story: A 24-year-old man suffered a “horrible death” aboard and Aer Lingus flight from Lisbon to Dublin, the Guardianreports. But when you start pouring over the details, what initially sounded like a freak accident now reads like something a bit more sinister:
Flight EI 485 was travelling from Lisbon, Portugal, to Dublin, when it is understood a passenger onboard “ran amok”, apparently “biting” one of his fellow passengers.
Reports claim the man began “biting another passenger” and was later restrained by crew after becoming “extremely violent”.
It is understood the man later became unwell after being restrained and fell into a state of unconsciousness, before being pronounced dead on the Dublin-bound flight.
The plane made an emergency landing in Cork, where a 44-year-old Portuguese woman “who allegedly had four pounds amphetamine on the flight,” was taken into custody, Yahoo News reports. A second man was reportedly transported to the hospital shortly after landing while the remaining 170 passengers are awaiting questioning by authorities.
Does this sound way too similar to the plane sequence from zombie epic World War Z?The entire internet seems to think so:

This #aerlingus story is a bit crazy and a bit too similar to the start of a zombie apocalypse..

Have to assume lack of updates on Aer Lingus zombie biting death means disease spread & newsrooms 1st to go. How long will Twitter last?
