Here’s the NSFW Way Anonymous Is Trolling the Hell Out of ISIS
Let’s just say there’s a lot of goat-related imagery.
In its ongoing quest to fight ISIS, hacker collective Anonymous has set out to screw with the terrorist group on Friday by launching a barrage of bad jokes. On Monday, the group declared Friday ‘ISIS Trolling Day’ and began encouraging anyone with an anti-ISIS stance to harrass members of the terrorist group and their supporters through, well, meme-based mockery.
That tactic was chosen for more than just its ease. Anonymous claims ISIS is trying to “silence all of us and get us to just lay low and hide in fear.” Posting pictures of ISIS members copulating with barn animals is a direct response to that, proving to ISIS that their opponents in the West will not be cowed by terrorism.
So, how is this day of trolling going for the idle hands of the internet? A quick stroll through the #TrollingDay hashtag reveals that jokes about goat-fucking are truly the order of the day. Beyond that, Anonymous trolls are mocking Islam’s prohibition against eating pork and the supposed ferocity of ISIS fighters, mostly with crude memes. It certainly won’t put an end to the militant group’s reign of terror in Iraq and Syria, but it’s certainly funny as well.
Here are some of the slightly less NSFW images circulating through Twitter in an attempt to piss off ISIS.
