This Middle Eastern Resort Transforms the Desert Into a Tranquil Green Oasis
Check out this amazing eco-retreat.

Assigned to design the most environmentally friendly desert getaway possible for Eco Resort Group, Baharash Architecture came up with this oasis in the heritage-soaked Liwa region in the southern United Arab Emirates.

To that end, over 150,000 square feet of solar panels adorn the vaguely star-like roof that runs over (and more importantly, powers) the resort’s restaurant, spa, business facilities and 84 interconnected suites. Other of the many green touches include locally sourcing food, on-site waste management, and smartly recycling water.

Projected to cost $80 million, this eco-minded oasis plans to open in 2020. Despite being in the middle of the desert, it looks like a serene little hideaway in which to chill.
