Set Sail With Wes Anderson On This “Grand Budapest Hotel”-Themed Cruise

The quirky filmmaker plans to take the transatlantic by storm - and you're invited.

Iconic director Wes Anderson is going full-on Life Aquatic—with a Grand Budapest Hotel-themed cruise that’s slated to set sail from New York City on June 13, bound for the UK city of Southampton. Also aboard Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 will be actors Tilda Swinton and Jason Schwartzman – both of whom starred in Anderson’s most recent film – and writing collaborator Roman Coppola.

Tickets for the seven-day cruise range from a $1,298 to a whopping $18,948, but given that guests will get to experience a private screening of The Grand Budapest Hotel followed by an open Q&A with Anderson & Co. (plus a chance to see the bizarre director kicking it by the waterslide), that seems totally reasonable, right? (No.) Still, you can score tickets here, and if you do, try not to think too hard about the fact that you probably should have held out for the Bill Murray cruise.
