“You are NOT the father!”

Father’s Day is almost upon us, which means it’s time to celebrate the coolest man in the world: Dad.

Usually, people celebrate Father’s Day with thoughtful gifts, hugs, and perhaps a backyard barbeque, or something, but that’s not what we’re going to do today. No, no. In fact, we’re not even going to talk about Father’s Day.

Instead, we’re going to pay homage to a day that is equally heartwarming: “You Might Be The Father Day,” as seen in the beloved Maury Show. This dubious holiday was created as a promotion by an awesomely named minor league baseball team, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

On Thursday, July 15, per the Washington Post, this Class AA affiliate of the Miami Marlins “will be distributing pregnancy tests so you’ll know if you need to return for Sunday’s Father’s Day game. … It will be an evening filled with suspense, intrigue and manila envelopes.”

But here’s the thing: You Might Be The Father Day isn’t a sad day in the slightest. In fact, it’s arguably the happiest day those men have ever had. It’s the day they regained their independence.

If your girlfriend has ever had a pregnancy scare, you’d know the feeling.

Anyway, to celebrate this wonderful day, I’ve compiled a hearty list of some of the best, most noteworthy, hilarious, and dramatic reactions of “dads” hearing the blessed words: “You are NOT the father.”

And since this list is all about dudes finding out they’re not the father, I thought I’d throw in a couple GIFs of the moms finding out that he is, in fact, the baby daddy. Just for shits and giggles.

You can see the life fade from his eyes…

Happy Father’s Day!
