Belgian authorities have officially identified a pair of brothers who were among the ISIS terrorists who carried out the Tuesday bombings at Zaventem airport and Maelbeek subway station in Brussels, the Associated Press reports.

At least one attacker, pictured above in the white coat, remains unidentified and at large. He is one of “several people possibly linked to deadly attacks” who remains on the run from authorities, the AP reports.

The attacks in Brussels killed 31 people and wounded 271 more.

Federal prosecutor Frederic Van Leeuw told the media on Wednesday that 29-year-old Ibrahim El Bakraoui was responsible for the suicide bombing at the Brussels airport, while his brother, 27-year-old Khalid El Bakraoui, detonated himself at the subway station. Here’s more from Reuters on the two:

The federal prosecutor told a news conference that Ibrahim El Bakraoui … one of two men who blew themselves up at Brussels airport on Tuesday, had left a will on a computer dumped in a rubbish bin near the militants’ hideout.

In it, he described himself as “always on the run, not knowing what to do anymore, being hunted everywhere, not being safe any longer and that if he hangs around, he risks ending up next to the person in a cell” – a reference to suspected Paris bomber Salah Abdeslam, who was arrested last week.

Both men, born in Belgium, had criminal records for armed robbery but were not previously linked by investigators to Islamist militants.

A second suicide bomber at the airport has yet to be identified.

Al Jazeera reports that a “massive” manhunt is underway across Brussels for the missing suspect who fled before the twin explosions in the Zaventem airport departure hall. Here’s more:

The prosecutor also confirmed police had carried out raids following Tuesday morning’s attacks, including at an address associated with the suspects after a tip-off by a taxi driver who drove the attackers to the airport.

During a house search in the Brussels neighborhood of Schaerbeek, investigators found 15 kilos of explosives, detonators and chemical products.

From the looks of it, Belgian authorities can’t catch the rest of these terrorists soon enough.
