This Guy’s Incredibly Chill Attitude About Being Shot Earlier In the Day is Absolutely Hilarious

If only we all were so absurdly laid-back hours after being shot in the chest.

From what we can imagine, if a bullet came shooting through your house and hit you in the chest, it’d be at least a little bit traumatizing.

But just hours after a stray bullet shot through the back window of Devon Hawkins’ Quincy, Illinois home and hit him in the chest, he managed to maintain a remarkably uncanny sense of calm regarding the situation.

In an interview with a reporter from Quincy’s KHQA that you really should watch above, Devon gives what is perhaps the most impossibly chill recollection of getting shot earlier that day ever.

“I’m in a room, chillin’, kickin’ like I usually do, drinkin’ and someone shot right through my back window and hit me in the chest. I’m like, “Shit, get my son out the room.” I wasn’t even trippin’ over a little petty wound. I ain’t trippin’ though.”

After a trip to the hospital, one can imagine that doctors prescribed Hawkins some pretty potent medication to deal with what must have been a pretty painful wound, not to mention whatever he’s puffing in front of the TV reporter.

But regardless of whether or not he’s on them, we can’t imagine getting shot without tripping just a little.
