Watch This Powerful Trailer For the Eagles of Death Metal HBO Doc About the Paris Attacks
This is intense.
The horrific terrorist attacks that took place in Paris in November, 2015 came to a nightmarish climax at the Bataclan concert hall. Just after American rockers Eagles of Death Metal began their concert, attackers began firing on the crowd. When the attack was over members of the band were traumatized but survived — and 89 concertgoers and Bataclan staff were dead.
The upcoming HBO documentary Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis (Our Friends) tells the story of the hours leading up to the attack and studies the way the tragedy affected survivors like EoDM’s lead singer Jesse Hughes. The doc features interviews with Hughes and Josh Homme in addition to band friends and supporters like Bono, who brought U2 to Paris to perform on the same bill as EoDM when the band returned.
Nos Amis was directed by Colin Hanks. It premieres on HBO on February 13.
