The Vine Video App Gets an Offer For a NSFW Second Life
We’re just not sure how serious the offer truly is.
Twitter shattered the social media lives of some when they announced they’ll soon terminate their once popular Vine video app. Now, if skin video giant Pornhub is serious, it looks as though Vine may live on, with fewer restrictions on content.
Always enterprising Pornhub veep Corey Price addressed a letter to Twitter’s Jack Dorsey, reports CNet, in which he noted that “since Twitter has dropped (Vine) and is having significant layoffs, that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine.”
Valid point. So Price says his company would not only save “Vine gems like ‘Damn Daniel,’ ‘Awkward Puppets'” but “restore Vine to Its NSFW glory.”
Porn clips no more than six seconds long, Price claims, offer “more than enough time for most people to enjoy themselves.”
Well, okay, Corey, if you say so.
Who knows how serious the offer is—Pornhub has shown a knack for seizing portions of the safe-for-work news cycle whenever possible. Also there would be the tricky issue of how Vine was so popular with teens typically considered far too young to be anywhere near a site like Pornhub.
Still, it’s not like Vine didn’t already have plenty of sexy content without any help. We gathered some of those brief videos here for you once the news of the app’s demise came out.
So enjoy that and imagine just how dialed up it might be if Pornhub got involved.
We have to admit that it wouldn’t be a terrible idea.
