Imagine if, instead of lighting up first thing, you could just pop a pod inside your single-serving coffee maker and toss back a cup of french roast infused with weed. BrewBudz wants to make that happen for consumers in states where marijuana is legal for recreational and medicinal use.

In a report in Denver’s Westword, BrewBudz CEO Jeffry Paul says that morning coffee or tea is a common daily habit and there is “also a ritual for marijuana, whether it’s medicinal or recreational.” So, reports Westword:

BrewBudz is creating Keurig-compatible cups that are 100 percent compostable. The bottom of the cups is made of a soft mesh material, not a hard plastic; the cap looks and feels like plastic, but it’s made from coffee beans. “When the bean is being processed, the outside skin that comes off of it is known as the chafe,” Paul explains. “They take that and use that to make the ring.”

There are differing amounts of the active ingredients in weed in the company’s products for recreational and medical users, and BrewBudz reportedly uses the whole marijuana flower, not just oils or an extract.

Currently marijuana is legal for medical use in 28 states and for recreational use in 7 states. BrewBudz will soon launch in six states, according to Westword.

If you’re lucky enough to be a pot smoker in one of those location, it looks like there will soon be a new, very chill way to start your day.
