This Never-Before-Seen Footage of the World’s Largest Shark Is Absolutely Terrifying

We’re going to need a bigger boat.

Last year, we were treated to some up close and personal footage of the 23-foot-long shark known as Deep Blue, widely regarded as the “biggest shark ever filmed,” paying a visit to a group of researchers in a shark cage off of Guadalupe Island near Mexico.

Last week, diving enthusiast Michael Maier released new never-before-seen footage of the enormous Deep Blue inspecting some (we assume horrified) divers. This new video was shot in November 2013, but Maier only recently released the footage to Barcroft TV a few weeks ago — and it makes last year’s footage look like kids programming on the Discovery Channel.

And here we thought it was safe to go back in the water.
