Mopar is celebrating 10 years of customizing factory Dodge muscle cars with a tricked-out 2019 Challenger that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Chrysler’s venerable parts division started with the standard Challenger R/T Scat Pack model. First, the menacing coupe is dressed in either a “Pitch Black” or “White Knuckle” finish and a striking asymmetrical blue racing stripe that runs from the top of the front fasica, around Mopar’s air-gulping hood scoop and all the way to the rear spoiler.
Aside from Mopar branding on the 20-inch aluminum wheels’ center caps and Goodyear tires’ valve caps, that about does it for the exterior upgrades.
More aesthetic touches are featured on the interior. Performance cloth seats are embroidered with a two-tone Mopar logo, and the dash boasts a custom Mopar instrument panel. Unfortunately, no images of the cabin were provided, so you’ll have to take our word for it.
The Challenger Scat Pack’s HEMI V8 still cranks 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet to either the standard manual six-speed or an optional eight-speed automatic tranny. But the engine does get a little extra air courtesy of a Mopar cold intake, while Mopar strut braces harden the chassis for sharper handling.
With a starting price of just $45,835, don’t be surprised if all 90 of the U.S.-bound Mopar 2019 Dodge Challengers sell quickly. Reach out online to get your name on the shortlist.
