The Lincoln Continental “Coach Door Edition” is back for 2020, and it’s more extravagant than ever.
Lincoln introduced the first iteration of the retro-cool cruiser with suicide doors last year to celebrate its 80th anniversary, and all 80 special-edition vehicles sold out almost immediately.
Car and Driver reports that this year’s Coach Door Edition is based on the top-tier Black Label Continental, which comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that produces 400 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.
While that output is certainly ample, the ride is really all about luxury. Inside the rear-hinged doors, which open 90 degrees and have a soft-close feature, are seats that adjust 30 ways, a Revel Ultima sound system, a rear console with its own cushioned table, dual tablet holders, a wireless charging pad, two USB outlets, and audio and climate features that are controlled on a four-inch display screen.
“Pristine White Metallic” is the color shown on here, but the Coach Edition is also available in “Chroma Crystal Blue” or with a black-and-white “Monochromatic” paint scheme.
Anyone who wants to cop a Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition needs to do so by the end of October. Though there’s no set number of models this year, the exclusive sedan is available now for $116,465.
