The sporty German duo is getting the same 4.0-liter flat-six that powers the 718 Spyder and 718 Cayman GT4, as opposed to the 2.5-liter in-line four featured in their predecessors. According to The Drive, the  394-horsepower engine is good for a 4.3-second zero-to-60 mph time and a top speed of 182 mph.

Both of the closely-related models are now available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission—no complaints there—as well as the Porsche Active Suspension Management suspension featured the German marque’s other exotics like the Panamera.

A set of 20-inch light-alloy wheels in satin gloss-black wheels wrapped in high-performance rubber are designed to accentuate an enhanced brake system, which features cross-drilled discs and striking red calipers. Contrasting black details on the spoiler lip, front apron’s air intake and fog lenses, and rear’s light lenses and redesigned bumper help to complete a slightly edgier aesthetic.

The interior’s center panels, seats, steering wheel, shifter and armrests are all clad in clad in dark Alcantara, while the center console and other trim elements are carbon fiber. An optional GTS interior package adds either Carmine Red or Chalk accents on the rev counter, seat belts, and decorative seams.

The Porsche Communication Management, which is operable via a high-res seven-inch touchscreen, comes standard. A navigation module with real-time traffic information, voice control and Porsche Connect are available as options, as are Bose or Burmester surround sound systems.
