Miami-based Toyota Land Cruiser restoration specialist The FJ Company knows how hard it is for a cool car to stand out in a town full of cool cars, so it showed up at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas with a very special Alpine white FJ43 Land Cruiser dubbed “The Aspen Project.”
This Aspen Land Cruiser is a personal project for the company, built for president Juan Diego Calle and named for his plans to drive it in the mountains around Aspen, Colorado.
This pristine truck not only enjoys a better-than-new restoration, but it also received a power upgrade in the form of a 210-horsepower 4.5-liter DOHC 24-valve inline six-cylinder Toyota 1FZ engine with Haltech Electronic Fuel Injection and a 5-speed manual transmission.
It’s as tough inside as out, with a Rhino Linings spray-on bedliner material protecting the floor and marine-grade upholstery on the Recaro seats. If The Aspen Project won’t get you where you’re going, you probably don’t need to go.
