Your grandpa’s Skylark this ain’t.

The Buick Enspire all-electric concept SUV—which was just revealed at the Beijing Auto Show—boasts an amazing 550 horsepower from its drivetrain while providing a promised range of 370 miles on a charge.

That amazing driving range means that even a 40-minute quick-charge to 80 percent of capacity yields another 300 miles on the road.

The Enspire is packed with cutting-edge technologies, such as a brilliant Organic LED display screen and an intelligent augmented reality technology-based head-up display system. It also supports your mobile devices with a planned 5G super high-speed wireless network concept.

If Buick green-lights this green speedster, it will help revive the brand’s heritage of cool performance rides like the turbocharged Grand National and GNX in the ’80s and the big block 442 and GSX in the ’70s.

Buick even raced successfully at the Indy 500 with a turbocharged V6 engine like the one from the Grand National and in Nascar with a small block V8.

Thanks to its sponsors at the time, the Buick Regal stock car was a different soft of green car from the Enspire concept, but at least Buick is staying with the theme.
