Back in 1918 there must have been something of a pickup truck Cambrian explosion, as first the Ford truck species appeared in July of that year, followed in late September by Chevrolet trucks.

With a century in the book, we can look back at the amazing evolution of the breed, as it evolved from a bare-bones cargo hauler and farm implement during World War I to the plus all-purpose people and equipment mover today.
