Chrysler Might Be Stuffing the 707-HP Hellcat Engine Into Its Flagship 300 Sedan, And Oh Hell Yes
Totally badass.
If, like Walter White on Breaking Bad, you leased Chrysler’s awesome 300 SRT8 a few years back and the lease is about up, there’s an even better, badder 707-horsepower supercharged Hellcat 300 in the works for next year.
That’s the report from the industry insiders at the trade magazine Automotive News, which reported that Chrysler will drop the incredible V8 from the Challenger Hellcat and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk into the brand’s flagship sedan in late 2018.
Chrysler dropped the hot SRT8 version of the 300 a few years ago, leaving us with the gorgeous 300S as the flagship model, but now muscle car fanatics will have the ability to cruise in four-door luxury comfort between visits to the drag strip.
The rest of the country might be switching to SUVs, but we think we’ll be happy in a plain old sedan. As long as it has 707 horsepower.
