Dodge Announces The Price For The Wheelie-Popping Demon, And You Can At Least Afford The $1 Options
You know, like a passenger seat.
You can’t buy a damn candy bar for a dollar, but that’s how much each of the available options costs for the new 840-horsepower Dodge Demon drag strip monster, the Demon. Of course, there is the matter of buying the $84,995 Demon itself.
That means that the Demon Crate, containing the skinny front drag racing tires, the jack for changing them and a variety of other helpful tools and go-fast parts adds just a dollar to your purchase price.
And if you wimp out and decide that you don’t really want to drive around by yourself and that you are willing to accept the added weight of passenger seats, well, those cost a buck too.
Of course, if you lard your Demon up with seats, and even worse, passengers, you’ll never run 9.65 seconds in the quarter mile. But if not, you might want to check your priorities.
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be available 15 exterior colors: B5 Blue (late availability), Billet Silver, Destroyer Grey, F8 Green (late availability), Go Mango, Granite Crystal, Indigo Blue (late availability), Maximum Steel, Octane Red, Pitch Black, Plum Crazy (late availability), Redline, TorRed, White Knuckle and Yellow Jacket.
Production starts later this summer at the Brampton (Ontario, Canada) Assembly plant, followed by deliveries in the fall of the planned 3,000 vehicles for the United States and 300 vehicles for Canada.
