A powerful cruising bike can still exude elegance, as proven by Ducati’s new XDiavel Nera motorcycle.

This limited edition, black-on-black beauty is limited to just 500 units. Its mechanical core doesn’t stray far from those the more available XDiavel S or XDiavel Dark, with Ducati’s 1,262cc V-Twin cranking 160 horsepower to the rear forged aluminum wheel wrapped in a Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tire.

As Cycle World notes, the electronics package includes a six-axis inertial platform measuring acceleration and rotation in multiple directions, cornering ABS, and a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with an exclusive animation.

But the crux of this exclusive cruiser is its aesthetic design. A mix of gloss and matte blacks are paired with devilish Ducati red components like the Brembo brake calipers and engine head covers.

But the most special piece is the seat. Luxury Italian furniture maker Poltrona Frau provided a proprietary hand-saddled natural leather dubbed Pelle Frau, customized with a laser-engraved repeating “X” pattern.

Buyers get to pick their own seat color—Siam Red, Steel Blue, Cemento, India and Selva—upgradable to a comfort saddle with a backrest. An exclusive key ring and document holder constructed from Pelle Frau are included, but an exclusive jet black helmet costs extra.

Priced from $29,795, the Ducati XDiavel Nera hits dealerships in March 2022.
