The pitch meeting for Fast Lane, a new docu-series on the Travel Channel, must have been pretty short: “It’s like Anthony Bourdain, but with cars instead of food.” The show follows lifestyle journalist Jason Harper as he immerses himself in the products and personalities of automotive culture…or, in other words, the jerk gets to drive the hell out of insane supercars all over the globe. In the first episode alone, which takes place in Italy, Harper tears down the Autostrada in a $300K Lamborghini, takes a midnight Vespa cruise through a medieval Tuscan village, zips around the Ferrari test track, and gets an inside look at the Maserati factory. Jealous yet? If not, check out this clip then get back to us.

Fast Lane airs on The Travel Channel starting April 12.
