Ferrari Introduces the Future of Formula 1

Ferrari's design studio released renderings of what might be the next great F1 racecar.

If you’ve tired of the wang and thumb design elements in Formula 1 design, Ferrari may be your new best friend. Their Centro Stile Ferrari studio, Maranello’s ink-and-paper design skunkworks, has unveiled what we may be the radically awesome next-gen look of theirF1 car. And unlike some older Ferrari concepts (here’s looking at you, Ferrari F90) this one is official.

It has a double-deck front wing and bodywork that envelopes the front and rear tires. According to Ferrari’s press release, the designers wanted to “come up with an F1 car which not only is technologically advanced but also captivating to the eye and aggressive-looking.” Roger that.

The best thing about this design is that it’s almost legal. “Could this be made without having to overturn the current technical rules? At Ferrari, we believe so.”
